You may remember last week's post about a Camaro5 forum member's new Camaro SS shutting down with just 40 miles on the odometer. Her local Chevrolet dealer explained the problem was caused by a faulty battery cable rubbing against the car's starter. Apparently, this was not an isolated incident. Today, Chevrolet is officially issuing a recall for the problem. If you've been affected by this recall, don't fret. As I understand it, the problem should only take about 30 minutes to fix at your local Chevrolet dealer. Considering the pressure that is mounting on GM, the new Camaro has been poised to be a possible savior of the company. It's unfortunate that a recall has been issued so early but is certainly better than having hundreds of dead Camaros on the streets.
Below, you'll find the full recall service bulletin from GM (big thanks to Jalopnik for posting these images!).
